Join The Fun As We Celebrate These Local Leaders, Friday, May 24th in Uptown

Known as the Miracle Riders, this remarkable group embarks on annual journeys across the country, pushing themselves to the limit to raise funds for pediatric programs and initiatives. Their tireless efforts have made a profound impact on countless lives, with their latest endeavor set to culminate in a spectacular celebration for the entire community.

The Miracle Riders’ mission is simple yet powerful: to make a difference in the lives of children by leveraging their love for motorcycle riding.

As founder Scott Ressmeyer explains, “It’s a group of men that have two passions: riding motorcycles and helping kids.” Each year, they embark on grueling trips spanning thousands of miles, traversing the country from coast to coast and everywhere in between. These journeys not only test their physical endurance but also provide them with a platform to raise awareness and funds for pediatric programs.

Their travels have taken them to every corner of the United States, covering a vast expanse of terrain and connecting with people from all walks of life. Along the way, they share their story and mission, garnering support and admiration from communities far and wide. Over the years, their dedication has led to significant fundraising efforts, with their current goal to raise one million dollars for pediatric nursing programs at Columbus State University.

They are currently undertaking one of their most ambitious journey’s yet – a coast-to-coast adventure that will take them through every Columbus across the country.

The impact of their fundraising efforts cannot be overstated. Through their contributions, the Miracle Riders have helped establish simulation labs that provide invaluable training opportunities for aspiring pediatric nurses. These state-of-the-art facilities simulate real-life medical scenarios, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in a controlled environment. From caring for preemie babies – their current fundraising venture – to managing labor and delivery complications, these simulation labs play a vital role in preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

As they prepare to return home from their latest journey, the Miracle Riders are met with overwhelming support from the community.

The Loft will be hosting a free show on May 24th in the 1000 Block median of Broadway to celebrate their homecoming, featuring live music from the Macon Music Revue.

This event serves as a testament to the community’s unwavering support and appreciation for the Miracle Riders’ efforts. In the words of Ressmeyer, “Everybody’s a part of this ride.” Indeed, the success of the Miracle Riders’ mission is testimony to the power of community collaboration and collective action. From media coverage to local businesses stepping up to support their cause, our city has rallied behind the Miracle Riders, ensuring that their impact reaches far beyond the open road.

As the Miracle Riders prepare to conclude their latest journey, they do so with a profound sense of gratitude and humility. Their commitment to making a difference in the lives of children remains unwavering, fueled by the support and generosity of the community they proudly call home. In the end, it’s not just about the miles they’ve ridden or the funds they’ve raised—it’s about the lives they’ve touched and the hope they’ve instilled in the hearts of children and families across the region.
